In 1959, Curt Mueller, fresh off his days as a power forward for the University of Wisconsin basketball team and armed as a registered pharmacist, hatched a big idea while working with his father Oliver at the family’s drugstore. Curt realized training room supplies were inadequate for serious athletes. So he used his knowledge of sports and pharmacology to develop better products to protect athletes from injury and enhance their performance. In the process, he coined the term ‘sports medicine’ and a new industry was born.
For over 50 years, Mueller Sports Medicine has stayed close to the changing needs of athletes, be they weekend warriors or international superstars, through its extensive line of sports medicine products.
